ShippingBill Technologies Pvt Ltd was incorporated in Bengaluru in 2026 to build software for Indian MSME exporters. The company is bootstrapped, customer-funded, and explicitly built to last decades rather than chase the typical Indian SaaS funding cycle. We have no plans to raise external capital in 2026 or 2027.

We operate from Bengaluru. The DPDP-required data residency is Mumbai (ap-south-1 Supabase region). Customer support is staffed from India during IST business hours.

How the product came together

The product idea came from watching a Tirupur textile exporter manually reconcile RoDTEP scrips in a 14-tab Excel workbook on a Sunday afternoon. The exporter, who runs a Rs 35 crore knitwear business, had been consistently missing RoSCTL on roughly a third of his bills. The annual unclaimed amount was a little over Rs 6 lakh. He knew it. His CA knew it. Neither had the time to fix it. That is the gap this product fills.

The team is a mix of operators who have worked inside Indian export companies, software engineers with shipping-software experience, and chartered accountants on a part-time editorial and review panel.

Principles

• One job, done properly. RoDTEP, RoSCTL, scheme stacking and reconciliation. We do not add freight, lending, or marketplace features.
• The CA is the user, not the cost centre. Our product is built to make your CA faster and sharper, not to replace them.
• Audit trail by default. Every decision in the product is logged and exportable. We expect customs queries; we make defending them easy.
• Rates are facts, not opinions. Every rate we surface is cited to its Appendix row. No invented numbers.
• India-first, India-only for now. We have no plans to expand to non-Indian exporters in 2026. The DGFT depth matters more than geographic breadth.
• DPDP from day one. Mumbai data residency, published privacy notice, named DPO, 72-hour breach SOP. Compliance is a feature.

What we are not

• A freight forwarder. We do not book containers.
• A CHA. We do not file at customs.
• A lender. We will not finance your working capital.
• A marketplace. We will not pretend to find you buyers.
• A one-stop everything. We do one job for one type of person, properly.
